Intellectual Synchronizing Module (ISM) by Digital Energy™ provides synchronizing of two parallel UPS groups where each of them consists of not more than six UPS with capacity from 10 up to 500 kVA. The back-up electric power unit and communication buses connecting the ISM with the UPS parallel systems using RPA technology make the ISM an extremely reliable device synchronizing the operation of two groups under any conditions.

Series of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) produced by GE Digital Energy™ consists of reliable and high-duty systems provides electric power supply protection for a wide range of consumers. Integrating of up to eight UPS into a parallel system with the GE’s unique technology — Redundant Parallel Architecture (RPA) — enhances the power supply system reliability by many times.

This technology envisages control over each UPS operation in peer-to-peer system with reserving all the most important elements and functions. Distributed bypass provides flexibility when the system is expanded or reduced if outer conditions require so.

Application of the reserved distribution circuits improves reliability even more. The static load switch Digital Energy™ STS provides electric power supply with selection between two UPS groups. In normal conditions the STS feeds the load from the main system. If it fails, the STS transfers the electric power supply of the load to the reserve UPS system. STS should be located as close as possible to the protected load to minimize the distribution circuit failure risk.

One of the most important conditions of normal operation for such system is synchronizing of two UPS systems including battery operation mode. Service support 24 x 7: during the whole service life all equipment by GE is completely provided with service support rendering assisting in inspection, preliminary maintenance or effective repair and personnel training twenty-four hours a day.
