State Enterprise «Antonov» (formerly the Oleg Antonov Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex) is a Ukrainian state aviation enterprise comprising a design bureau, a complex of laboratories, experimental and serial production plants, and a test complex. The enterprise has developed more than one hundred types of aircraft and their modifications. «ANTONOV» is best known worldwide as a developer of transport, regional passenger, and special-purpose aircraft.
The consolidation of Ukrainian aviation enterprises began with the creation in 2005 of the State Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation «National Association Antonov.» However, its operations proved ineffective.
The State Aviation Company «Aviation of Ukraine» was established under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 428 of March 14, 2007, and the State Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation «National Association Antonov,» founded in 2005, was dissolved. The concentration of participants in the SAC «Aviation of Ukraine» was approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 254-r of May 3, 2008. The government dissolved the state aviation consortium «ANTONOV» by transferring its enterprises to Ukroboronprom under Resolution No. 546 of July 19, 2017.
