GX GSM Cellular Modem
Victron Energy GX GSM is a cellular modem and GPS accessory for GX devices, providing mobile internet connectivity and remote access to the energy system through the VRM Portal. It operates on 2G and 3G cellular networks.
Description
GX GSM is designed to provide cellular internet connectivity to compatible Victron GX devices where wired or Wi-Fi connections are unavailable.
The modem connects to the GX device through an integrated 1 m USB-A cable and uses a separate DC power supply. Cellular connectivity requires a Mini-SIM card.
GX GSM includes a built-in GPS receiver. With an optional active GPS antenna connected, the system location can be sent to the VRM Portal for remote tracking and geo-fencing.
The device is compatible with Victron GX equipment running Venus OS version 2.22 or newer.
GX GSM supports 2G and 3G networks only. Because these networks are being progressively phased out, GX LTE 4G is the preferred option for new installations.
